Wawina Church

This picture was taken Dec 2008 at the time of the 1st Christmas Service, after an amazing total renovation made by many loving & skillful hands.
More improvements in the restoration have taken place, with some fine craftsmanship in evidence. It's a labor of love in memory of the Finnish pioneers who established this church.

This 2nd Annual Christmas Celebration will be held on Saturday, December 12th 2009 with:

• 5:00 PM Supper & Fellowship at the Wawina Town Hall...Mojakka (Finnish Beef Stew.)
• 6:30 PM "Lighting of the Candles" in the Cemetery, an old Finnish Custom
• 7:00 PM A brief non-denominational Christmas Service at the Church...Carols & Message
